e komo mai.

e komo mai means welcome in hawaiian.

my mother and father came to visit me a few weeks ago.  it has been a little over four months since i left la and have seen them - it was nice having them visit.  although, it seemed like i had just seen them yesterday.  the three of us didn't do the typical touristy things - i took them on a hike up makapuu (i didn't dare take them up koko head!  i didn't want my mother to die for god's sake!), dean okimoto was kind enough to give us a tour of his nalo farm, brunch at cinnamons, lunch at gomatei and ethel's grille, dinner at the beachhouse and of course, roy's, we did lots of shopping at ala moana, and took them to the kcc farmers market.

we're cute yah?

see you in a few months!
